Ranger led estate guided walk at Chirk Castle

Put on your walking boots and join our volunteer ranger for a tour of the Chirk Castle estate.

Learn more about the 480-acre Chirk Castle estate by joining our ranger volunteer for a guided walk. 

The walks take place on 28 August, 11 September and 25 September at 11am.  

They will cover some interesting areas of natural history and will last approximately 1.5 hours each. Please wear suitable walking shoes/boots and dress according to the weather.    

This event is free, but normal admission charges apply if you wish to visit the castle and garden.

Please note:

  • Normal admission charges apply if you wish to visit the castle and garden.
  • Meet on the grassed area by the kiosk down at Home Farm, a short distance from the Ticket Office.
  • Wear sensible walking shoes/boots. Dress according to the weather. You may also need to bring an umbrella and waterproof coat.
  • This walk takes place on uneven grassland and is unsuitable for wheelchairs, visitors with limited mobility and prams/pushchairs.
  • Not suitable for very young children or prams.
