Walk with Us: Orford Ness
Whether you are looking to get active, enjoy being out and about in nature or meet new friends, our free guided trails are for you.
While Orford Ness is closed to visitors for our winter season we are offering well being walks, weather permitting, on Orford Ness. If the weather doesn't allow us to cross to Orford Ness the walks will take place along the river banks and around Orford village.
Walks take place monthly, with no walking experience required, come and walk with us, breathe in the fresh air and keep your eyes peeled for some of our wonderful birdlife.
Please note this is not a history tour, there will be no access to any of the buildings and no access across the Bailey bridge.
Please note:
- Meet at the Quay Office on Orford Quay at 10.20am to register and get your boarding pass for a 10.30am ferry crossing.
- Come dressed for all weathers! Layers are a good option as are good walking shoes! The route is uneven in places and there are some steps involved.
- We will be covering uneven terrain, access onto the ferry is via steps which can be slippery and numbers depend on state of tide.
- Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
