Winter Tree ID Walk
Join a National Trust Ranger and discover more about some of the oldest and most fascinating trees here in the grounds of Gawthorpe Hall.
Join National Trust Ranger, David Bevis, for a walk through Gawthorpe’s woodland and learn all about the trees that reside here and how to identify them in winter.
The event will run on Saturday 25 January, 10-12pm.
The first hour will involve an ID workshop where you will learn how to identify the different tree species. The second hour will put this into practice, with a gentle walk around the estate looking at the variety of different species found here at Gawthorpe Hall.
Please note:
- Meet in the car park.
- Wear sturdy footwear and weather appropriate clothing.
- The route will require attendees to navigate a stile and therefore will not be pushchair or wheelchair friendly. The majority of the walk will follow the main paths.
- This is a family friendly event.
