Heritage Open Days: Bury Rickshaw at Ickworth
Enjoy a Rickshaw Ride on the estate.
Our local Rickshaw Rider’s charity is coming to Ickworth to give very special opportunities to those who might not usually be able to experience Ickworth by foot or bike, or adventure as far as the Walled Garden. Meet your ride, hop on the front of the rickshaw and have gentle show round of the north side of the House, past the church and Parson’s Pond, taking a short pause at the Walled Garden to take in the views, before retuning back to the Welcome Point. Possible photo opportunities along the way.
Trips leave on the hour and half past the hour and are 20–25 minutes long. Sessions on the hour are pre bookable online, and sessions every half an hour are available for walk ups.
Please note:
- Meet your rider outside the Cycle Hub (look for the Rickshaw Flag), more information at Welcome Point.
- This local charity aims to support those who are usually less able to get out and about on bike or by foot quite as far as our Walled Garden. This specific rickshaw cannot take a manual wheelchair or electric wheelchair, but if the user or individual is able to get into the rickshaw and sit up with help of their own party members then this is likely to be suitable.
- Suitable for under 18s, all under 16s to be accompanied by an adult. Children must be able to sit up by themselves and wear the cross-lap seat belt.
- For more information, please call or look at Bury Rickshaw on 01284 339449, Bury St Edmunds Rickshaw – more smiles per mile.
