East Pool Mine is open for pre-booked guided tours only. We are not able to accommodate 'walk up' admissions.

If you are visiting both East Pool Mine and Michell's Engine House, please be aware that they are at two separate locations. Please be sure not to book both locations for the same timeslot. East Pool Mine tours last for approximately one hour so please take that into account when booking your Michell’s visit. For example, if you have booked the 10am tour at East Pool Mine, you would need to book the 11.15 at Michell’s Engine House.

Extend your visit to East Pool Mine by visiting Michell's Engine House. Located on Agar Road, 0.3 miles from the main East Pool Mine site, Michell's is an icon of Cornwall's mining landscape. Enjoy a self-led experience where you can immerse yourself in Cornwall's industrial past. Open for pre-booked visits.

Please be sure to arrive at Michell's for the start of your chosen timeslot, which lasts for half an hour. This is a self-led visit.

Parking for Michell’s Engine House is in Morrison's carpark on Agar Road. This is the same parking location for East Pool Mine. Please walk past Morrisons to cross the road at the pedestrian crossing on Agar Road. Michell's Engine House is approximately 0.3 miles or six minute walk from the carpark, away from the main East Pool Mine site. Look for the engine house on the left hand side of Agar Road.
