Roadworks affecting access to Finch Foundry (3 - 7 August)
Devon County Council will be carrying out road resurfacing works in and around Sticklepath between 3 - 7 August. While this will affect access routes to Finch Foundry, visitors will still be able to reach the site throughout the works. The contractor has provided the following guidance:
5 August
- Resurfacing works will take place between Whiddon Down BP Garage and Sticklepath Cross.
- Visitors are advised to leave the A30 via the A382, which will allow them to avoid the closure entirely.
6 - 7 August
- Resurfacing works will take place through Sticklepath village, with Finch Foundry located within the closure area.
- Visitors are advised to leave the A30 via the B3260 (BP Garage junction), which will minimise the section of road affected by the closure.
Visitors travelling to Finch Foundry will be permitted through the closure. We ask that you:
- Stop and inform the traffic marshals that they are visiting Finch Foundry.
- Use hazard lights while travelling through the works area.
- Drive at no more than 5 mph.
Be prepared for a short delay if machinery needs to be moved to allow access.
