Timed house tickets can be purchased from the Visitor Centre on the day of your visit, on a first come, first served basis. Pre-booking is not required. Timed tickets for house entry between 11am and 2pm can only be purchased in person, on the day of your visit. You do not need to pre-book to visit the gardens, café or shop.

House tickets
Timed house tickets are available from the Visitor Centre on the day of your visit, sold on a first come, first served basis.
- From 10am daily: Same-day timed entry tickets are released at the Visitor Centre.
- 11am–2pm house entry: Tickets for these time slots can only be purchased in person on the day.
- Afternoon pre-booking: A limited number of tickets for 2pm–3.40pm can be booked online or by phone in advance. If online pre-booked tickets have sold out, additional tickets are usually available on the day at the Visitor Centre. We recommend arriving early.
The time on your ticket is for house entry only; you are welcome to arrive any time from 10am to explore the rest of Chartwell.
Your ticket includes entry to the house, studio, gardens and woodland, but does not guarantee a parking space.

Collecting pre-booked tickets
On arrival at Chartwell, head to the Visitor Centre to exchange your e-ticket for a paper ticket. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the time stated on your booking. Any tickets not exchanged 10 minutes before the time slot will be released back on sale in the Visitor Centre.
Dogs
Please note, dogs are not allowed in the house.
