Timed house tickets can be purchased from the Visitor Centre on the day of your visit, on a first come, first served basis. Pre-booking is not required. Timed tickets for house entry between 11am and 2pm can only be purchased in person, on the day of your visit. You do not need to pre-book to visit the gardens, café or shop.

In celebration of Heritage Open Days 2025, admission tickets to Chartwell will be free of charge on 15 September.
House tickets
From 10am daily, you can purchase timed house tickets in person, on the day of your visit from the Visitor Centre. Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis. To help those travelling from further away, some house tickets are available to book online or over the phone, in advance. Pre-booked tickets are limited in availability and only for the afternoon time slots, from 2pm to 3.40pm. If pre-booked house tickets are sold out online, there should still be house tickets available on the day from the Visitor Centre. Arrive early to secure tickets.
The time stated on your booking is for house entry only. You are welcome to arrive anytime from 10am to explore the rest of Chartwell.
Your ticket includes entry to the house and studio, plus access to the gardens and woodland, but does not guarantee a parking space.

Collecting pre-booked tickets
On arrival at Chartwell, head to the Visitor Centre to exchange your e-ticket for a paper ticket. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the time stated on your booking. Any tickets not exchanged 10 minutes before the time slot will be released back on sale in the Visitor Centre.
Dogs
Please note, dogs are not allowed in the house.
