Join award winning landscape photographer Justin Minns using various techniques to capture the wild and windswept drama of Orford Ness.

Justin Minns is an award-winning professional landscape photographer renowned for creating atmospheric images of East Anglia and beyond.

An experienced photography tutor Justin enjoys helping others to improve their work on landscape photography.

Landscape photography is about using the light and conditions to create beautiful imagery that captures the spirit of a place. On this workshop you'll be spending the day exploring the wild and remote Orford Ness and focusing on capturing it in black and white. 

An understanding of the basics will be useful but this course is suitable for photographers of all levels

Please note:

  • Meet at 8.45am at the National Trust Ticket Office on Orford Quay for a brief introduction followed by transfer by ferry to the Ness.
  • Bring only equipment you can carry for long distances unaided. Please bring enough food and drink as well as sufficient clothing to enable you to work comfortably outside all day.
  • Involves ferry crossing - must be able to negotiate steep and sometimes slippery steps. Mostly made up paths, some uneven. You should expect to walk between 5 and 10 kilometers during the day.
  • Not suitable for children.
  • All attendees will be required to confirm no commercial use will be made of any images taken without prior permission of the National Trust. No drone photography.
