Abseiling adventure
Get adventurous with an abseiling taster for all the family.
Join specialist activities company Pinpoint Adventure to abseil approximately 12 metres down the sandstone rock-face of Roseberry Topping.
No experience is needed, the event is aimed at beginners. A 30-minute session will get your adrenaline pumping, making it a day to remember.
Please note:
- Meet at the summit in time for your 30 minute session. Please allow 45 minutes for the steep walk from Newton under Roseberry pay and display car park (not National Trust) near Great Ayton, TS9 6QR.
- It's an exposed location, so warm clothing is advised, even in summer. Sturdy footwear required. Suncream, sun hat, sunglasses as necessary. All safety equipment is provided by Pinpoint Adventure.
- It's a steep climb to the summit. Paths are uneven and can be muddy or slippery following wet weather.
- Suitable for children aged 8 years and over.
- Maximum two participants per half hour slot.
- The 12 metre abseil (approximately) is on the South East corner of Roseberry Topping, not from the summit.
