Bat Walk at Dunwich Heath
A special evening walk to discover one of Dunwich Heath's less well-known mammals
The varied habitats around Dunwich Heath support nine recorded species of Suffolk's bats. Join us for a fascinating evening stroll to observe bats, learn more about their ecology and the work we do at Dunwich Heath to support these elusive little mammals. Please bring a bat detector if you have one.
Please note:
- Normal parking charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Please meet at the Visitor Information Hut near the Coastguard Cottages.
- Please wear sensible footwear and warm clothes depending on the weather. It is advisable to bring waterproofs and mosquito repellent. If you have a bat detector, please do bring that too.
- Accessible to all, but please note that this outdoor activity will take place on mixed terrain. An off-road mobility scooter is available to hire, but please book this in advance.
- This event is only suitable for older children.
