Guided Garden Tour

What better way to view the garden than when one of the gardeners takes you on a tour?

Our gardeners will take a small group of visitors on a tour of the garden, offering their knowledge of the horticultural delights, and some of the methods used to make this garden grow.

Aimed at National Trust Members and non-members, keen and not so keen plant people, the gentle stroll around the different areas of the garden and its planting will offer any visitor a deeper insight into the garden, as well as an opportunity to test their plant knowledge!

Please note:

  • Normal admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
  • Meet at the Visitor Welcome Hut, where you will need to pay your admission fee to the garden or have your membership card scanned, and state you have booked on a tour.
  • Wear suitable clothing and footwear - our paths can be steep and stony in places.
  • The garden paths have steep steps and slopes on much of the route. However, a step free route does exist. If you require a tour that is step free please email the garden: overbecks@nationaltrust.org.uk.
  • We ask that anybody under 18 is accompanied by a participating adult.
  • We do not advise children under 12 are booked onto the tour. Please note that children should not be left unaccompanied in the garden at any time.
