Brownsea Island Community Open Day - 4 October 2025

Join us for Brownsea Island's Community Open Day 2025 On this special day, we’re inviting our local community to explore the stunning beauty of Brownsea Island free of charge.

Our annual Community Open Day is taking place on Saturday 4th October and we're inviting our local community to explore the stunning beauty of Brownsea Island free of charge. Enjoy peaceful walks, discover wildlife, and soak in the breathtaking views. 
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience one of the most picturesque spots on the south coast. 

Tickets are free of charge and available on a first come first served basis. They will be released in stages, so stay tuned and secure your spot for a day of adventure.

Please note:

  • P lease meet at the orange and white Greenslade Pleasure Boats kiosk (opposite Tesco Express) Poole Quay, Poole BH15 1HJ.
  • Please arrive in good time to board your ferry. The time on your ticket indicates the time of departure and the vessel will leave promptly.
  • We recommend outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear.
  • For wheelchair availability please contact 01202 492164 or 
    brownseaisland@nationaltrust.org.uk.
  • Children welcome.
  • Return ferries to Poole Quay departing at 10:30, 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 14:00, 15:00, 15:30, 16:00, 17:00. 
  • Sale of tickets will end once capacity is reached or on Friday 3 October whichever comes first.  
  • Visitors will be seated on ferries on a first-come, first-served basis on the day for their trip across to Brownsea. 
  • In the event of extreme weather forecast, the island will be closed, ticket holders will be notified the day before and the event moved to the contingency date of 11 October 2025. In the event of extreme weather on the 11th October, the event will be cancelled, ticket holders will be notified the day before. We regret that no other date will be offered.
