As the sun sets, join licensed bat specialist Tina inside the Hall to learn about the fascinating creatures that roost and hibernate on site. Seaton Delaval Hall is a nationally significant bat hibernation site, with at least five species found here and, armed with bat detectors she will then lead a walk around the grounds, where you can learn how to monitor and identify bat populations as they emerge to feed.
Please note:
- Meet at the Visitor Welcome hut.
- Even in summer, evenings can be incredibly cold on site; please dress warmly. Part of the evening takes place outdoors; please wear appropriate footwear.
- Access to the Saloon is via 15 steps.
- Recommended age 9+.
- Please bring your booking confirmation with you. On a smartphone is accepted.
