Suffolk has become a culinary hotspot, with local producers and chefs creating amazing produce. 

Take a walk round Orford Ness with one of our knowledgeable guides and build up an appetite for a seven course tasting menu at The Crown and Castle in Orford village.   

The menu, designed and cooked by Head Chef, Garry Cook, is inspired by Orford Ness and it’s surrounding area, and will feature local produce from land and sea. 

The Crown and Castle is an award-winning hotel, recently named Small Hotel Of The Year at the East of England Tourism awards.

The hotel will also offer a wine menu that can be booked directly with them on the day.

Ticket includes ferry, three hour tour of Orford Ness (9.30-12.30)  followed by a 7 course tasting menu at The Crown and Castle.

Please note:

• Meet at 9.15am at the National Trust Ticket Office on Orford Quay for a brief introduction followed by a 9.30am ferry transfer to the Ness.
• Orford Ness is an exposed coastal location - please dress for the weather.
• Access to Orford Ness Involves a ferry crossing.  Visitors must be able to negotiate steep and sometimes slippery steps with a step down onto the ferry. The site is made up paths, some uneven. The walk itself is around 3 miles.
• Not suitable for children.
• There is also a 5 minute walk from Orford Quay to the Crown and Castle following the tour for lunch at 1pm.
