Discover Kingston Lacy’s farm animals

Join the Kingston Lacy Farm Manager for a walk around Kingston Lacy to meet the cows, sheep and pigs and learn about their role in conserving this special place. This will include an exclusive visit to Home Farm, not usually open to the public.

Meet in the Rotunda and take a walk to see the rare breed Portland sheep, the Red Ruby Devon cows and Spot, Pickle and Stripe, the pigs in the woodlands. Once you have seen the animals in the fields you will be taken to Home Farm which is still a working farm.

Following the walk you will have the opportunity to explore Kingston Lacy on your own from the Kitchen Garden.

The cows, sheep and pigs all play a vital role in the conservation work at Kingston Lacy as their graze encourages mixed habitats that are great for wildlife.

The walk will last approximately 2 hours.

Please note:

  • Normal admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
  • Park at Kingston Lacy car park, and then meet in the Rotunda.
