Spiders aren't so scary: Fri 17 and Sat 18 October

Discover the eight-legged wonders of Morden Hall Park

Think spiders are spooky? Think again! Join us for a fascinating and family-friendly adventure where we’ll uncover the secret lives of these misunderstood minibeasts.

To begin, our friendly nature guide will introduce you to the incredible world of spiders - from their clever web designs to their important role in the ecosystem. Many of the park’s spiders hide in the day and come out at night, so as night falls, you will head out on a gentle guided walk in the dark to see how many different spiders you can spot on the trees, reeds, bridges, and walls.

Whether you're a curious child, or an interested adult, this event is a great way to find out why spiders really aren’t so scary after all!

Booking essential.  £7/adult and £5/child.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Recommended for those aged 7 and over due to the formal talk and being by unfenced open water in the dark. Assistance dogs only. We will have torches to borrow, but please feel free to bring along your own if you have one!

Please note:

  • Meet us at the Snuff Mill.  Please park in the Garden Centre car park
  • Please dress appropriately for the weather and time of day. Please bring a torch if you have one.
  • The activity takes place on flat ground and accessed via surfaced paths, but will be near unfenced open water.
