Heritage Open Days 2026 at Anglesey Abbey

Book your free ticket to visit Anglesey Abbey on Heritage Open days between 14 and 20 September. Choose the time you'd like to arrive and head to the visitor centre to show your ticket.

There's lots to see and do at Anglesey Abbey in September. 

- In the house - 
11am to 4pm (last entry 3.30pm)

Come and enjoy a special exhibition that celebrates both 100 years of Anglesey Abbey, and 60 years in the care of the National Trust. The exhibition in the house, 'The Art of Collecting - 100 Years of the Fairhaven Legacy', takes visitors on journey through the development of the space, and Lord Fairhaven's eclectic collecting practices. 

- In the gardens - 
9.30am to 5pm (last entry 4pm)

In the gardens, visitors can discover more about the history and evolution of the spaces and see photos from Lord Fairhaven's private photography collection which have never been on display before. During September, the Dahlia Garden will be a must-visit as it features of 60 varieties of dahlia, displayed in a sweeping rainbow formation.

Pre-booking is essential for free entry to Anglesey Abbey. Tickets can be booked via our website and there are a limited number of tickets available. Please note that last entry into the house is at 3:30pm; pre-booked Heritage Open Day tickets to Anglesey Abbey after this time will not be able to visit the house. 

Members do not need to pre-book. For non-members without a pre-booked ticket, normal admission applies.
