White Horse Hill History and Landscape Walk
31 May: a guided walk around the White Horse and the landscape it sits in.
Learn about some of the history and legends that surround the site, from its stone age builders to St George and Cold War secret swapping.
Also find out more about what it takes to look after this ancient landscape, as well as what's needed to care for Britain's oldest White Horse.
This walk takes place on 31 May, 11am-12.30pm. £8 per adult, £4 per child.
Please note:
- There's a charge to park in our car park at White Horse Hill. National Trust members park free.
- Park and meet at the National Trust main car park at White Horse Hill, Uffington, SN7 7QJ.
- Please bring sturdy footwear and dress according to weather conditions.
- There is a steep 15 minute uphill walk to the Horse from the car park. The path is unmade and in places can be uneven.
- Children welcome.
- There are no toilets or other facilities at this site.
