Looking at the Limeyards - Guided Walk
Join one of our volunteer guides for a walk down to the limeyards, learning about their archaeological and industrial heritage along the way.
Find out more about Calke's historic limeyards, as well as some of the butterflies and flora that call the site home.
Led by one of our knowledgeable volunteers, the walk will last approx. 2 hours, starting from Calke Explore.

Please note:
- Standard admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Meet at Calke Explore, which has its own car park.
- Dress appropriately for the weather, including hats and sunscreen if necessary. Please wear sturdy footwear and bring water.
- This walk will encounter uneven terrain and stiles, and therefore is not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
- Suitable for all ages.
- There are toilet facilities available at the start and end of the walk, but not during.
- Well-behaved dogs welcome on short leads.
