A guided walk along the tip of the Cotswolds
Discover stunning countryside on the tip of the Cotswolds on this moderate 5-mile walk led by the Cotswold Voluntary Wardens.
Upton House sits in the most northerly part of the Cotswolds, sharing the geology that unifies the Cotswold national landscape. Unlike other parts of the Cotswolds, this area has few wooded valleys but sits on the escarpment offering wonderful views.
Please note this walk is graded 'moderate', which means that it includes some hills and rough ground. The route also includes some stiles. Recommended for walkers with moderate-to-good fitness levels.
This walk will take you along the escarpment path looking out to the rolling Warwickshire countryside below and there may be time to call at a local hostelry for a welcome drink.
Starting from the Upton House car park, this 5 mile walk is led by the Cotswolds Voluntary Wardens.
Please note:
- Please meet in the main car park ready for a prompt 10am start. The walk leaders will be wearing high vis jackets.
- Please wear suitable walking boots/shoes and outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather.
- Bring snacks and sun cream.
- There will be some uneven terrain.
- Walkers will need a moderate level of fitness to join this walk. Please call to discuss any accessibility requirements.
- Children over 16 are welcome, supervised by parent/guardian.
- We're sorry, but dogs are not permitted on this walk.
- This walk is free of charge but normal admission prices apply to participants wishing to visit the property following the walk.
