Create a sustainable festive wreath in the Moorland Discovery Centre at Longshaw, with materials sourced from the Estate.

Our popular wreath making sessions return for 2024. 

Create a beautiful and traditional handmade wreath to get into the Christmas spirit. We’ll supply natural materials gathered from around Longshaw for you to create your festive masterpiece.

There are morning and afternoon sessions in the Moorland Discovery Centre, with experienced supervision to make sure your wreath is as beautiful as it can be. Wreath making materials, light refreshments and festive music are included.

Unfortunately we can not allow dogs to these sessions. These session are aimed at adults, suitable for ages 16+.

Please note:

• Normal parking charges apply to non-members on arrival.
• Head to the Moorland Discovery Centre, next to Longshaw's main Woodcroft Car Park. There are 3 toilets. One is accessible with baby change.
• Be sure to dress appropriately if you are out exploring Longshaw Estate before or after the wreath making session.
• There is a ramped path down into the Moorland Discovery Centre from the car park, and accessible parking bays close to the centre. There is an accessible toilet in the Discovery Centre.
• Not suitable for children (ages 16+).
• Unfortunately we can not allow dogs to these sessions.
• The sessions are indoors, in the warmth of the Moorland Discovery Centre with a short walk from the car park. Parking in Woodcroft car park. National Trust members park free and for non-members, the charge is £5.00 for 4 hours and £7.00 all day. Mobile phone signal is very limited in this area.
• Longshaw Estate is open from 8.30-dusk. Car parks are locked at 4pm in the winter.
