Foraging workshop
Discover seasonal wild foods and learn to forage safely while still leaving plenty of Mother Earth's bounty for nature.
Join a foraging workshop with local expert Lizzy to discover some delectable wild foods that can make seasonal safe additions to your diet.
We will hunt for wild fruits, herbs, mushrooms and plants, teaching key identifying features and preferred habitats. This will give you a solid start on your wild food journey.
Part-way through the session, we will stop to eat lunch together so don't forget to bring a packed lunch. During the break, Lizzy will share some homemade makes and bakes using foraged ingredients and explain about good foraging practices, sustainability, preservation techniques, and species to look out for.
You may also like to bring a camera, notepad and water bottle. Please make sure you have sturdy and comfortable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing.
