'Community Tales' Storytelling and Craft: Mami Wata the African Goddess of Water, Sat 4 Oct
Join writer and cultural facilitator Dr Michelle Yaa Asantewa for a vibrant storytelling and activity session inspired by the powerful West African water spirit, Mami Wata. For ages 3+.
This Autumn, join us at Morden Hall Park for a magical morning of stories and creativity. In the second of our new Community Tales series, author Dr Michelle Yaa Asantewa shares the captivating story of Mami Wata, the African goddess of water.
Through storytelling, rhythm, movement and simple activities and crafts, children and families will explore themes of nature, culture and belonging. These sessions are designed to celebrate our park as a shared space for all communities, where stories connect us to the land and to each other.
Sessions are suitable for children aged 3 and up. Children must be accompanied by one adult. Booking is essential.

- Suitable for 3-7 year olds
- Buggy area.
