'Community Tales' Storytelling and Craft: Lighting up Diwali, Sat 25 Oct

Merton Asian Women's Association will be celebrating Diwali with tales, myths and crafts that will intertwine with song, creativity and fun. It's about spreading the light, telling stories, making Rangoli, singing the joy!

This autumn, join us at Morden Hall Park for a magical morning of stories and creativity. In the fifth of our new Community Tales series, the Merton Asian Women’s Association presents a joyful session inspired by Diwali, the festival of light.

Through storytelling, song, movement and hands-on craft, children and families will explore the meaning behind this vibrant celebration and its links to nature, kindness and community. These sessions are designed to celebrate our park as a shared space for all cultures, where stories connect us to the land and to one another.
