Guided Walk: Seasonal Saunter

Celebrate the end of the walking season with a scenic circular route across Marsden Moor - complete with festive mulled wine!

Join us for our final walk of the year as we explore the dramatic beauty of the South Pennines. Starting in the heart of Marsden, we’ll follow a varied and rewarding route that takes in Tunnel End, Intake Head, Clark Hill Farm, and Mount Road, before descending towards Butterley Reservoir and climbing to Binn Edge for sweeping views across the Colne Valley.

This walk is 7 miles and will take approx. 5 hours

Please note:

  • Meet at the Marsden offices (Information Room The Old Goods Yard Station Road, Huddersfield HD7 6DH)
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time of the walk so we can cover relevant safety information.
  • Please wear suitable clothing for the changeable weather in Marsden and sturdy footwear.
  • There are steep climbs and some uneven terrain and off path walking. 
  • Children who can walk the distance are welcome on this walk.
  • Dogs on leads are welcome.
  • Bring a picnic.
  • Suggested donation of £3 which goes towards running these walks and restoring the moorland.
