The Wider Estate Group Walk

Explore the wider estate with our longest group walk yet! Think you can take on the 7 mile challenge?

If you fancy more of a challenge, pull on your walking boots and get ready for a 6-7 mile long ramble around our wider estate.  

This advanced guided group walk will take you around the farmland and woodland that surround the magnificent hall. Learn more about our conservation efforts in the local area and forge friendships as you travel.  

There will be plenty of time for chit-chat as we estimate approximately 4 hours for this trail - make sure to bring plenty of snacks! 

Rest and refreshments:

There are toilets located in the Stableyard before and after the trail. There are also toilets available at the Park Centre is needed. There are refreshments available to purchase at the start and end of the walk and part way through. There are rest stops on the way round.

Please note:

  • Please arrive at the Visitor Reception Building 15 minutes before the walk is due to take place.
  • Please dress for the Great British weather, this may include a sunhat or a waterproof (or both)! If the weather is sunny, please bring suncream. Don't forget to wear walking boots and bring water.
  • This walk is a multiuse trail across mixed terrain including some steps (with  no handrail) in certain areas.
  • Please note this walk includes, flat, steep, hilly, rocky and narrow sections and will not be suitable for wheelchair users.
  • No dogs. Some hazards may include: road crossings, moving vehicles, uneven terrain, steep incline, stile, kissing gate, wet/boggy ground, steps (with no handrail), open water around ponds, farm animals and environmental sensitivities.
