Belton Remembrance Day Walk
Belton Estate was vital for preparing the Armed Forces fighting skills. Join our rangers on this Remembrance Day Walk and enjoy a tour of the WW1 Machine Gun Site, visit the Commonwealth War Graves at Londonthorpe, and ascend Bellmount Tower.
Belton Estate was vital for preparing the Armed Forces fighting skills. Two Units, in particular, were: the Machine Gun Corp (MGC) and the RAF Regiment.
Unlike the wilderness of Dartmoor or Catterick, Belton had its own challenges. Soldiers trained for a war and adapted for current operations. Combat skill proficiency and expertise can make the difference between winning and losing. Being the best was essential.
We know no fear or favour.
We’re not given to palaver.
We’re never known to waiver.
We’re the MGC.
