Plant Propagation Masterclass - Propagation by Seed
The third in our series of hands-on plant propagation masterclasses, this full day workshop will focus on the collection and storage of the seeds of herbaceous perennials and shrubs.
This series of workshops will cover most of the main propagation groups, techniques and equipment, allowing you to build your propagation skills. Tools will be provided and each participant will go home with the plants they have propagated, along with information on how to care for them. In the first part of the day you will learn the theory and you will get 'hands-on' under the expert guidance of our Gardeners, followed by a light lunch provided by our Tea room. Unlike the previous workshops that have involved cloning plants, seed raised plants can offer the chance of accidental hybrids.
Please note:
- On arrival please make your way to reception and check in with our Welcome Team.
- The workshop will be indoors, but please wear appropriate clothing for working with soil and plants.
- The workshop will take place in an accessible area.
- This workshop is not suitable for children.
- Please arrive 10-15 minutes in advance of the workshop start time.
