Add a little magic to the festive season with a visit to see Father Christmas at Castle Drogo

Father Christmas is making room in his busy schedule to come and visit Castle Drogo. Why not plan a festive visit to see him, settle down for a story by the fireside and have a magical day out. This session starts before the Castle opens, perfect if your little one is not so keen on crowds.

Please note:

• Normal Admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
• After going through the Visitor Centre please make your way to the Castle, from here you will be directed into the Library.
• Please arrive 15 minutes before your time slot to allow enough time to get to the Castle. 
• This is an indoor event but if you plan on spending the day at Castle Drogo, there's lots of fun to be had outside. Don't forget your coat.
• To access the library there are some stairs. Please inform the Visitor Welcome team on arrival if you need step free access. This is a quiet session with reduced numbers and a start time before the Castle opens to the public.
• This is a child friendly event.
• Early booking for Father Christmas is essential. 
• Father Christmas quiet sessions are for groups of up to 8 children accompanied by at least one adult per family.
• Sessions run for approximately 30 minutes. 
• Please note this is a ticketed event you will need a ticket per child. 
• Father Christmas sessions include a story with one of the elves, an audience with the man himself and one gift (not wrapped).
• If there is adverse weather (wind speeds over 50mph or ice/snow) the Castle will be closed and Father Christmas will be cancelled. We will contact you to let you know the morning of your booking and you will be refunded for your session. Please always check the MET office forecast before travelling.
