Saltram Christmas - House Entry
Step into a magical North Pole wonderland as you explore a smaller series of beautifully dressed rooms within the mansion, transformed into a festive world of twinkling lights, enchanting decorations and wintry wonder. Discover a little slice of the North Pole right here in South Devon, where Christmas magic awaits around every corner!
Please note, Father Christmas is a very busy man at this time of the year, and he therefore cannot visit us this year. We hope to welcome him back once we have completed all the house adaptations in the future.
Once you have explored the house, head out to the gardens for more magical displays in the garden follies, a fun family trail and games and plenty of moments for hot chocolate and festive treats.
The festivities begin Friday 20 November – Sunday 3 January 11:00- 17:00. (Last entry into the house 16:30, closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day, closing at 16:00 on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve when last entry will be 15:30). Daytime only, booking required.
Please note the house closes at 17:00. Last entry to the gardens is 16:15. The cafes and shop also all close at 17:00. The half an hour house arrival time slot allows half an hour to arrive at the Welcome Centre and join the queue at the house. Please stick to the time slot given for visiting the house. If you wish you have a walk in the garden or pop to the cafe before your house visit, please allow time before your house arrival slot to do this.
For details on what’s open or closed for your visit please go to the property website.
What happens if the property closes due to bad weather?
We are all facing likely adverse weather this winter, so there may be times where Saltram is not safe to open to the public and we have no choice but to close and refund tickets. If this should happen, you will be contacted as soon as possible to notify you of any closure and refund procedures.
Due to the capacity of our car park and safe visitor numbers to the house, we are not able to honour cancelled tickets on another day. We encourage you to try to re-book for another date wherever possible. We of course apologise for disappointment this might cause, but safety simply has to come first in these instances.
