Wreath Making and Needle Felting Workshop at Ilam Park
Create a beautiful Christmas wreath using natural materials in the morning, enjoy a warming lunch and then learn how to needle felt small decorations to adorn your wreath in the afternoon.
Creating a handmade wreath is a wonderfully festive activity to get into the Christmas spirit. We’ll supply natural materials gathered from Ilam Park and the surrounding area, including ivy, holly, fir and pine cones for a beautiful looking traditional wreath. Willow hoops and ribbons will also be supplied, along with hot drinks and mince pies!
After lunch join our friendly tutors will be on hand to guide you through making your own needle-felted baubles out of 100% British wool. Learn how to make a little Santa, a penguin, a Christmas pudding and more! We'll provide hot drinks and sweet treats throughout, and all materials will be provided on the day. You'll also receive a goody bag to take home, with enough wool to continue crafting, a range of needles, finger guards and a ‘how to’ guide.
Wreath making and needle felting sessions can be booked separately, but why not join us for a full day of festive crafting and take advantage of our ticket that books you into both sessions at a discounted price.
Please note:
- Meet the workshop leaders in the stableyard at Ilam Park, where they will show you to the workshop room.
- Wrap up warm as even though we're inside, as it may be chilly.
- There is level access to the workshop room and accessible toilet located in the stableyard.
- This is a workshop for adults.
