Tree planting at Penrose this Winter
Help us plant a tree, tackle climate change and secure nature at Penrose for future generations.
Come along for the day to help us plant over 8,000 trees and create new woodland right next to Helston. Our goal for this project is to plant as many trees as we can with the help of volunteers and local people. These events are family friendly, and we welcome everyone of any age to come and join in. You will be provided with all the tools necessary to plant a tree and our rangers and volunteer rangers will be on hand to show you how.
There are two bookable sessions per day, if you book the morning timeslot, you are welcome to stay all day. If you have any questions, please email Area Ranger Calum McIntosh via calum.mcintosh@nationaltrust.org.uk
Please note:
- Please meet at Fairground Car Park, Porthleven Road, Helston, TR13 8WN (not National Trust).
- Please bring wellies, warm clothing and suitable waterproofs, as well as your own drinks, refreshments or lunch if staying all day.
- Access to the site is level on solid surface road but on site the ground will be uneven grass & soil. There will be portable toilet facilities on site.
- Children of all ages are welcome but will need to be under adult supervision at all times.
