Winter weekday guided house tour - Berrington Hall
On weekdays from November 6, join one of our knowledgeable volunteers for a guided tour of the mansion.
On weekdays from Monday 6 November, the mansion at Berrington Hall will be open for guided tours only. We are normally closed during the week at this time of year, so this is a chance to get a behind-the-scenes peak behind closed doors.
Join our knowledgeable volunteers for a guided tour of select rooms in the mansion, learning more about the history of Berrington Hall and the families who lived here.
Guided tours will take place twice a day and last approximately 30 minutes. There is no additional cost for guided tours, but normal admission fees apply. Make sure to collect your guided tour ticket from visitor reception on arrival.
Please note that tickets cannot be booked online or via telephone on the day of the tours. Spaces are only bookable on arrival at visitor reception, on a first come first serve basis. There are limited spaces available on the guided tours, so to avoid disappointment we recommend arriving with plenty of time.
Each tour will take place on a single floor in the mansion, in either the basement or the ground floor rooms depending on winter cleaning schedules and conservation work.
On weekends and during the school holidays (December 22 to January 7), the mansion will be open as normal, on a self-guided, free-flow basis. The parkland, gardens, and tea-room will be open daily during our winter opening.
The whole property will be closed on 24, 25 and 26 December.
Please note:
- Normal Admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- The mansion is only accessible via 12 steep stone steps, and therefore tours are not suitable for wheelchair users. If you or someone in your party has limited mobility, you can find out more about our 360 degree virtual tour in the access section of our homepage.
- Children are welcome to take part in the guided tours but must be supervised at all times.
- On arrival at visitor reception, show a member of the welcome team your booking confirmation email to receive your ticket.
