Winter weekday guided house tours - Croft Castle and Parkland

On winter weekdays from November 6, join our knowledgeable volunteers for a guided tour of the castle.

On weekdays from Monday 6 November, the castle at Croft Castle and Parkland will be open for guided tours only. The castle is usually closed during the week in winter, so this is a chance to get a behind-the-scenes peak at winter in the castle.

Join our knowledgeable volunteers for a guided tour of select rooms in the castle, learning more about the history of Croft and the families who lived here. Guided tours will take place twice a day and last approximately 45 minutes. There is no additional cost for guided tours, but normal admission fees apply.

Please note that each tour will take place in select rooms in the castle depending on winter cleaning schedules and conservation work. There are limited spaces available on the guided tours, so to avoid disappointment we recommend booking online prior to your visit.

On weekends, the castle will be open as normal, on a self-guided, free-flow basis. The parkland, gardens, and tea-room will be open daily during our winter opening. The whole property will be closed on 24, 25 and 26 December.

Tours will be taking place on various floors of the castle, which are only accessible via staircases, meaning that they are not suitable for wheelchair users.

Please note:

  • Normal Admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
