World Wetland Walk

Celebrate World Wetland Day and immerse yourself in nature as you walk around an island not generally open to the public.

Wrap up warm and join us for a walk out on the marshes at Heigham Holmes Nature Reserve.  We will look for harriers and other birds of prey, winter wildfowl, cranes and deer to name a few.

Please note: 

  • Meet at Martham Ferry at least five minutes before the event starts. Postcode is NR29 4RG, Ferrygate Lane. Parking is limited. What3words: bridge.parked.duck
  • Wear wellies or walking boots and dress for the weather. Bring binoculars if you have them.
  • Mixture of uneven terrain which can be wet and muddy.
  • Suitable for accompanied children, although terrain is uneven and muddy.
  • No dogs allowed, except assistance dogs by prior arrangement.
  • Spaces are limited.
