A Garland of Music - By Elgar. Sponsored by the Elgar Society
FREE EVENT (normal admission applies). With Christmas on the way, what better way to start the festive season than with a garland of music by Elgar?
What better way to start the festive season and get into the Christmas swing than to celebrate with a concert featuring a wide range of music by Elgar?
Once again our resident cellist Corinne Frost, with pianist Janine Parsons, will be performing the music and our expert Richard Westwood-Brookes will be providing an introduction and commentary to the music, describing how each piece fitted into Elgar's life.
The concert, sponsored by the Elgar Society, will be free to National Trust members (normal non member entrance fees apply), and will feature a number of well known Elgar pieces, including 'Nimrod' - but also a few less familiar works.
Please note:
- Normal admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- The event takes place in the Carice room. The welcome team will be ready to point you in the right direction.
- The concert takes place in the accessible visitor centre. For details of accessibility across The Firs site see the access statement.
- Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
