Spring Garden Tour and Afternoon Tea with the Head Gardener

Experience the beauty of springtime in the garden with a tour from our Head Gardener!

Join an exclusive tour of Canons Ashby’s beautiful garden this spring led by our Head Gardener. Learn about the history of the gardens, the plants around you, and the way the team cares for them. Then settle down for a small afternoon tea.

This event will go on whatever the weather, as long as it’s safe to do so. Please dress for whatever the weather brings.

The garden is not enormous, so it will not involve long walks, but there are stairs, steps and slopes throughout.

Afternoon tea includes a scone, mini sandwiches and mini bakes, with tea or coffee. If you want to visit the Coach House Shop, please go before the tour begins, as it will be closed when this event finishes.

If you have dietary requirements that need to be taken into account please let us know in advance.

£27 per person, pre-booking essential.

Please note:

  • Park in the normal visitor car park and check in at Visitor Reception on arrival.
  • Please dress for the weather - this will be outdoors on varying ground surfaces which will be muddy and soft after rain.
  • As this is an historic terraced garden, this guided tour goes up and down steps and slopes. If you want to ask about your access needs please get in touch on canonsashby@nationaltrust.org.uk
  • This event is aimed at adults, but accompanied older children are welcome.
  • This event is not suitable for dogs except assistance dogs.
  • If you want to visit the shop please come early.
  • Please wear sturdy sensible footwear for walking on uneven grass, and even areas which may be muddy.
