Building Chartwell: An Architectural Outside Tour 2025

Explore Chartwell's fascinating architectural history in an outdoor tour as part of the Heritage Open Days Festival.

We are excited to be embracing this years Heritage Open Days theme, Architecture, and during our free opening of Chartwell as part of the festival we will be offering architecture tours throughout the day. Spaces are limited so please book your free ticket early.

Hear about how the Chartwell we know today came to be. Explore its development through architecture over 700 years. The tour takes you around the formal gardens and house exterior at Chartwell to see the idiosyncratic red-brick building from a new perspective.

The tour will take 45 minutes.
