Join the team from West Midlands Butterfly Conservation to uncover moth traps in the orchard at Croome. Discover more about the beautiful insects which usually fly at night and what we can do to help their survival.
West Midlands Butterfly Conservation are coming to Croome to share the experience of uncovering moth traps in the orchard for this special event.
Uncover the moth traps that have been left in the orchard overnight. We’ll find out more about the moths found in the traps, and learn to safely handle the moths.
You'll discover more about the beautiful insects which usually fly at night and how we can help their survival.
Meet outside visitor reception at 9.30am before taking a very short stroll to the orchard.
The event finishes at 11am when you'll be given a voucher to use in the café for a hot or cold drink.
The event will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions.
Please note:
- Please meet at the RAF Visitor Centre (outside seating area).
- You’ll be outside all the time, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
- The orchard is close to the meeting point. There are hard paths leading to the orchard and then it's a grass surface in the orchard.
- Suitable for children with an accompanying adult.
