Trees in Slumber
Join the Ranger team to learn how to identify trees in their winter slumber.
On this walk, we'll visit some of the estate's native trees and learn the key features that allow us to know a tree, even without its leaves. You'll also discover more about the history of Calke and its National Nature Reserve status.
Please note:
- Normal admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Meet at Calke Explore welcome point.
- Please bring suitable outdoor clothing and footwear for muddy conditions.
- The walk will stick to surfaced paths but there may be some elements of uneven terrain.
- Children are welcome, and the route is suitable for pushchairs.
- Dogs are welcome on short leads.
