Willow Weaving Workshop: Bird House

Learn willow sculpting techniques to create your own bird house.

This workshop is a great introduction to weaving your own bird house. We will be weaving at a gentle pace step by step with plenty of one to one tuition in a friendly small group.
In just over 2 hours you will take home a stunning willow birdhouse for  your garden.

Weaving with a natural material such as willow is a very rewarding and grounding experience. Find out about the many varieties of willow that are grown and its long history of use.
All materials are provided but if you would like to bring  your own secateurs and gardening gloves please do.

Tea and coffee will be provided

Please note:

  • Please report to reception on arrival.
  • Participants can bring their own garden gloves and secateurs if they wish.
  • The workshop will take place in the Battery House studio which has step-free access. There is a mobility buggy running between the main car park and the House.
  • Not suitable for children.
