Smartphone photography workshop: Beautiful bluebells and landscapes

Learn how to get the most out of your smartphone camera and capture unforgettable seasonal scenes across the wider Kingston Lacy Estate.

From lighting and depth of field to composition and editing, Melanie Aldridge (a professional photographer with over 25 years experience working all over the world) will show you all kinds of tips and tricks with lots of fun along the way. 

On this workshop the group will spend approximately two hours outdoors learning all about their smartphone camera settings as well as taking lots of pictures as you walk across the beautiful landscapes of the wider Kingston Lacy Estate at Pamphill. Afterwards, there will be a chance to discuss image editing and enhancing ideas. 

Normal property admission does not apply as this workshop takes place outside the garden.

Please note:

  • Meet at the roadside gate of St Stephen's Church, Pamphill, BH21 4EG. What 3 Word location ///dislodge.loitering.horizons. Parking available in neighbouring car parks at Pamphill Green.
  • Please wear suitable clothes and footwear for the weather conditions. The walk will pass through woodland where some areas may be muddy underfoot. You will be outside for the duration of the workshop.
  • This workshop will cover grass paths, gravel tracks and woodland paths and includes one kissing gate. Workshop not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
  • This workshop is just for adults.
  • Only assistance dogs can be welcomed on this workshop.
