Guided by Nature: Bird Walk for Beginners

Join Hardwick’s bird enthusiasts for a late winter bird walk.

See the migratory ducks and wildfowl wintering on Hardwick’s peaceful ponds, Redwing and Fieldfare feasting on berries throughout the park, and familiar woodland birds often spotted on the parkland.

The guided group walk will take you on a circular adventure through Lady Spencer's Wood, across the parkland, and will loop back around the ponds to the start point at Visitor Reception.

Hardwick’s Bird Walk for Beginners is exactly that! Meet other enthusiasts and enjoy the fresh air. 

Walk details: 

• Gentle paced walk 

• 2.5 miles 

• Difficulty is moderate, includes a hill, some rough terrain, and some steps

Please note:

  • This walk will take place from Visitor Reception which is located in the main visitor car park.
  • Please wear sturdy outdoor shoes and dress for the Great British Weather. Bring appropriate snacks and water if needed. Binoculars are great but not essential for the experience.
  • There is an accessible toilet and parking located in the Stableyard, please note that this walk is along uneven terrain and is not wheelchair accessible.
