Discover the joy of birdwatching on our Bird Walk for Beginners. Whether you are new to the hobby or keen to improve your spotting skills, this guided walk offers a relaxed way to explore our seasonal parkland, connect with nature and meet fellow enthusiasts.
We may see arriving migrant thrushes , Redwing and Fieldfare, early wintering wildfowl, and woodland birds fuelling up for colder months.
This guided group walk will take you on a circular adventure around the ponds and through wood pastures. These different environments are perfect for observing birds in a variety of habitats and discover more about Hardwick's birds.
Walk difficulty: This is a gentle paced walk through the park. It's not suitable for wheelchairs as there is some rough terrain.

Please note:
- This guided trail will take place from the Park Centre, located at the Hardwick Park Centre.
- Please wear sturdy outdoor shoes and dress for the great British weather. Bring appropriate snacks and water if needed. Binoculars are great, but not essential for the experience.
- Accessible parking is at the front of the car park with an accessible WC. This event is along uneven terrain in some areas and is not wheelchair accessible. There is also an accessible toilet and parking located in the Stableyard, which is at the top end of the site near Hardwick Hall.
- Children over 12 years of age are welcome.
