Seasonal family bushcraft workshops
Come to Brownsea Island and learn how to survive and thrive in the outdoor world. Join local bushcraft specialist, Joe Peartree on these fun and informative sessions.
Take part in a series of activities and experience nature in a fun and engaging way. From knife skills, wood carving and fire lighting to animal tracking, foraging and shelter building, there is something for everyone to learn. Activities will vary according to the season.
All children will need to be supervised by an adult. The price does NOT include entry fee (National Trust members free) and boat fare which will be payable upon arrival.
Please note:
- Upon arrival, National Trust welcome staff will tell you where to meet.
- Wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear paying special attention to recent and current weather forecasts.
- Suitable for ages 6+.
- Please make sure you catch an appropriate boat to allow enough time to reach the island in time for your workshop. Boat times are on our website.
- Please let the team on Poole Quay know that you are attending the bush craft sessions so as to board the boat in good time.
- The £10 cost is per child and does not include boat fare or entry fee (National Trust members will be charged for the ferry fare only, not admission). This is payable upon arrival.
- Workshops run for two hours.
