Blossomise at Wylam Brewery and Exhibition Park, Newcastle - Sunday 28 April
Experience Blossomise – a live music and poetry performance by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage and the band LYR.
Performing live as support will be musician SL Walkinshaw, presented alongside immersive blossom visuals. This event is part of a series celebrating the National Trust’s annual Festival of Blossom and the uplifting sight of spring.
The artists will be joined by Voices of Virtue Gospel Choir at Wylam Brewery in Newcastle, located within the scenic Exhibition Park. Be immersed in a transformative 360 blossom experience by Creative Studio NOVAK that will reveal an evolving blossom environment, transitioning from day to night over the course of the evening.
Bring the family along for a host of free nature-based crafts and activities at the Blossom Circle in the park from 12pm-4pm.
Get in the spirit of things by visiting the nearby blossom circle and sculpture. Pick up a blossom-themed snack at the Urban Green Café before settling in for the spring-inspired performance at Wylam Brewery.
Please note this event is recommended for children over 12 years of age. Any children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

- British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation will be provided at the performance. There is no hearing loop at the venue.
- Wylam Brewery is a one floor venue. Access for wheelchair-users is via a ramp to the front of the building. If you have any access requirements please let us know in advance by emailing access@wylambrewery.co.uk.
- There are two disabled parking bays directly to the rear of the Brewery. Vehicular access to the brewery through Exhibition Park is strictly prohibited for pre arranged access. To pre arrange access please email access@wylambrewery.co.uk.
- There will be a bar available to purchase drinks.
