St Anthony Head is great to visit all read round, with far reaching views out to sea and over the Carrick Roads to Falmouth beyond. Have you ever wondered what it used to be like when the headland was a bustling military site?

Each year we open the doors to invite you inside, to hear more about its fascinating history and how this quiet corner of Cornwall helped to protect our shores.

Tour dates to book in 2025 (two tours each day from 11:00 – 12:30 and 13:30 – 15:00): 
•    Sunday 1 June
•    Sunday 3 August

Please note:

  • Parking charges apply at St Anthony Head and Porth, National Trust members park for free.
  • Meet up in the car park at St Anthony Head.
  • Wear clothes suitable for being outdoors.
  • Accessibility is limited with unavoidable steps to the lower battery building and uneven footpaths in parts.
  • Children welcome accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • Get here by foot from St Mawes with the foot passenger ferry and then following the coast path along to the headland. Walking also possible from nearby Bohortha and Porth along the coast path.
  • £5 per person.
