Poetry in Bloom - Early Morning Guided Garden Walk and Writing Workshop

Join us for an immersive experience where nature and words intertwine. Led by our gardener and poet, Liv, this workshop welcomes both beginners and established writers seeking a fresh creative space.

We'll begin with a peaceful 40-minute guided morning walk through the picturesque surroundings of Sheffield Park and Garden, before public opening, followed by a workshop exploring various poetic styles to ignite your creative spark. Using a simple exercise and some prompts, you'll draw upon your observations from the walk to craft your own poem or piece of writing.

At the end of the session, you will have the chance to share your work with the group, if you feel compelled to do so.

Please note:

  • Meet outside the front of visitor reception.
  • Please wear weather appropriate clothes as much of the session will be outdoors. Please bring all food and drink with you as the café doesn't open until 10am.
  • This event involves a 40-minute walk around the garden on paved pathways. Please do contact us in advance if you have any questions relating to accessibility.
  • Aimed at adults (18+).
  • This event is free but advanced booking is essential.
