Night-time wildlife walks - Quarry Bank

Join our Ranger team to experience the nocturnal wildlife that lives at Quarry Bank.

Enjoy a guided walk through the estate with our experienced Ranger team.

What night-time residents will you spot? Perhaps Barn owls, Tawny owls, badgers or maybe some of the bat species that live here.

Learn about wildlife ecology, life cycles, feeding habits and perhaps have a chance to listen to bat noises as they fly overhead.

The walk will finish in the Mill Yard. Ticket price includes a bat biscuit per person.

In previous years these walks have been known as bat walks, however as we cannot guarantee the appearance of bats and to reflect the variety of wildlife we do see on these walks, we have renamed them.

National Trust standard admission charges do not apply.

Please note:

  • Please meet at Visitor Reception near the car park where the Ranger team will meet you.
  • Please bring a torch, wear sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for the weather.
  • The route includes challenging terrain and is not suitable for prams.
  • Recommended for children of aged 12+.
