Our senior gardener is leading this free 'walk and talk' event on growing cut flowers as part of Scotney's Great Big Green Week Festival.

Join our senior gardener this Great Big Green Week as she shares her secrets on how to grow flowers for cutting. Supercharge your gardening efforts with information about the range of different flowers you can grow, how different varieties of flower attract different pollinators, and how to extend the flowering period to keep those blooms coming.

Please note:

  • Normal admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
  • Meet at the Garden noticeboard on the garden side of Visitor Entrance.
  • Comfortable shoes for walking are recommended.
  • Steep inclines in the garden. Hard-surface paths suitable for wheelchairs and powered mobility vehicles. No WCs in garden.
  • Many of our cut flower beds are in the walled garden where only assistance dogs are permitted.
  • Book your car parking as well as your place on the talk in order to guarantee entry. Bookings open every Thursday four weeks in advance.
  • Aimed at adults but may be suitable for older children interested in the topic or for sleeping babies in buggies.
